ABOUT
Jeannie Foster, a 30+ year resident of the Kansas City area, is a
self-taught artist. Her mother, Mary Lou McLagan, nurtured her
career by providing invaluable instruction, guidance and support.
Mary Lou is also a well-known Kansas City artist.
Jeannie began drawing and painting at a very early age and
began exhibiting her art work by the age of 10. Throughout her
career--from painting high school mascots on press boxes
and walls to painting standard canvas sizes--her work reflects
that of a unique perspective of everyday people, places and
things. Jeannie has a contemporary style, using color, design
and a unique perspective to depict the lighter side of everyday
scenes. Her work as been described as “Fun”, and can be
found in private and corporate collections throughout the United
States and Asia.
Jeannie is a member of the Town and Country Art League,
Mid-Winter Art Fair.
